This large listed Fashion Retail Business is looking for a strong Interim Chief Financial Officer.

Reponsibilities will include managing the Commercial Finance Team, Looking after the transactional and Group Finance team in London, strengthening the cash position and driving International and E-Commerce expansion.

This business has 3 key brands to it - one of the brands is undergoing a turnaround and will require someone who views finance from a business perspective. They need someone who can spot the business variances, then apply that to finance, rather than someone who makes a change in finance then expects that to impact the business, without getting out there and understanding the business challenges.

The future of the role will be to look at what does retail look like in the future, stores-multichannel, and driving e-commerce (currently running at 10% of sales), expanding territories that aren’t covered and looking at the systems in a detailed way. They use as a system CODA finance and Cognos version 10. One of the things currently being looked at which the FD will be involved in is getting all the board reports on Ipads for specific divisions etc, so that there will be 10 pre-designed reports for the board meetings, specific to each individual/area attending.

The candidate must have a Fashion Retail background and currently be in an FD capacity for a £500 million + business. ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
