Main responsibilities:

  • Managing all incoming invoices
  • Matching to PO's and uploading to Sage
  • Chasing copy invoices
  • Generating PO's
  • Managing suppliers and records
  • Allocating payments
  • Issuing remittances
  • Producing costing reports
  • Dealing with queries
  • Completing credit account requests
  • Various other ad-hoc duties to support a small office environment.

Global Accounting Network are currently partnered exclusively with a well established family run business based in Rainham, Essex to recruit for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join them on a 12 month fixed term contract basis to cover maternity. The position will involve working amongst a close knit team, supporting with all aspects of purchase ledger. The business are thriving and demonstrating year on year growth, hence there is every possibility that this will become a permanent position.

Skills/experience required 

  • Previous accounts / purchase ledger experience, ideally gained in a small office environment
  • A mature attitude and the ability to take ownership of the entire purchase ledger function
  • Previous experience of Sage 50 or 200 is also be beneficial.
