Main responsibilities:

  • Proactive member of the Leadership team, contributing key financial input and strategic insight while challenging assumptions and decisions as appropriate
  • Assist in formulating the company’s future direction and supporting tactical initiatives
  • Development, maintenance and delivery of an ambitious but robust business plan that engages internal and external stakeholders and future potential investors
  • Ensure that company financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and growth
  • Co-ordinate management information and financial analysis that is timely, accurate and informative
  • Ensure financial controls and authorities are defined and adhered to Company wide
  • Implement operational best practices within the Finance department
  • Oversight of;
  • Finance department delivery of monthly and annual accounts
  • Cashflow monitoring and maintenance
  • Budgeting process and monitoring
  • Development of the finance team and the personal within
  • Business partnership and liaison with all departments within the company to ensure communication between the finance department and all other areas of the company are open, honest and continuous
  • Lead, coach and develop Finance personal, proving boundaries and guidance
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with internal and external stakeholders

We are recruiting for an innovative and dynamic flexible office/co-working provider who has an international footprint. This business has grown exponentially over the last couple of years. They are now seeking a permanent Finance Director to guide them through the next phase of the companies adventure.

This role will report to the Chief Executive Officer and be responsible for the efforts, results and success of the Company’s Finance Department.  A key member of the leadership team, this is both an operational and strategic position. The Finance Director is responsible for the provision of financial advice and support to help the leadership team make key decisions while contributing to all decision-making processes in an open and honest manner.  They will manage the Finance function, being accountable for the delivery of the statutory and regulatory requirements of Company. The Finance Director will be a key participant in acquiring additional funding for the company, delivering the business plan and engaging external investors. They will have in-depth knowledge of the overall business and an understanding of how each division interacts and contributes towards the whole.

Skills/experience required

  • Qualified accountant ACA/CIMA/ACCA with minimum 5 years post-qualified experience
  • Advanced degree level qualification in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Post graduate qualification in Finance (desirable)
  • Maths, economics or equivalent A Levels
  • Minimum 2 years in co-working / serviced office industry
  • International market experience - Europe
  • International market experience – worldwide (desirable)
  • Functional Line management experience (desirable)
  • Commercial acumen
  • Understanding of business principles and practices
  • Experience with accounting systems
  • Financial Business Ethics
  • Strategic planning and thinking
  • Financial modelling skills and awareness
  • Commercial acumen
  • Equity financing / raising capital
  • Commercial contracts e.g. commercial real estate leases / future acquisition proposal analysis
