Main responsibilities:

  • Management of the production of the group consolidated monthly financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flows and IFRS/NON-IFRS reconciliation);
  • Production of management accounts pack for Board and Bank reporting;
  • Production of consolidated statutory accounts and notes to accounts for interims and annual report;
  • Take ownership of Group intercompany accounting process, review intercompany transactions on monthly basis;
  • Oversight and involvement in all aspects of finance across the group, including working capital and cash management, debt and interest management, support the implementation of new systems, processes and accounting standards;
  • Assistance in development and standardisation of group-wide accounting policies and procedures;
  • Analysis of business unit performance, including preparing financial reports for senior management;
  • Ad hoc duties and project work as required.

This is a prominent position in the London finance team and reports directly into the Head of FP&A. This is a highly visible role that requires gravitas, a can-do attitude and a flexible approach.

Skills/experience required:

  • Qualified accountant with experience in a similar role in a group finance role;
  • Technical accounting: this role requires detailed technical accounting knowledge (IFRS) and the ability to resolve accounting challenges, including acquisition accounting and purchase price allocations, effective interest rate calculations, goodwill impairment calculations and going concern assessments;
  • A proven track record of financial data management, financial statement production and multi-entity consolidation;
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills;
  • Outstanding Excel and strong PowerPoint skills;
  • A friendly and proactive demeanour and good team player;
  • Reliable, in terms of quality and quantity of work as well as timekeeping and attendance;
  • Strong level of written and spoken English.
