JOB FUNCTION: Finance manager

Main responsibilities:

  • Month end, quarter and year end accounting close processes ensuring compliance with accounting policies, government regulations & legislation
  • Supervision and review of monthly payroll, reconciliation and analysis of all personnel related costs
  • Preparation of VAT & PAYE benefits settlement scheme reporting and returns
  • Supervision and review of fixed assets, prepayments and accruals processes
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly US GAAP management accounts including meaningful variance analysis
  • Management of direct reports. This includes on-going coaching and support, appraisal review meetings and dealing with any performance issues. Also, ensuring that training needs are met
  • Review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, vendor and expenses payment runs
  • Supporting the risk management process through compliance with the company’s Sarbanes Oxley process including documentation and testing of controls and the maintenance of a strong internal control environment

You will focus on review of the monthly management reporting accounts, review and sign off of the year end statutory accounts as well as broader responsibility of payroll supervision and sign off.   • Professional Qualification (ACA /ACCA/CIMA)
  • 3+ years post qualified experience within industry
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team
  • Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP 
  • Methodical, diligent, accurate and accountable 
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and drive improvement through change
