Main responsibilities:

  • Complete new customer checks to understand financial performance, credit reports, vendor verification and trade indemnity insurance availability.
  • New customer set up including account set up on ERP system, filing of appropriate paperwork and communication to our branch teams
  • Take payments from account customers paying by credit / debit card
  • Allocate payments to customer accounts
  • Support timely query management through supply of copy invoices, statements, POD’s and appropriate escalation to branch teams
  • Department admin to ensure key set up documents are easily accessible
  • Upload daily sales and assist in month end reconciliation
  • Considers the customer (both internal and external) in daily activities
  • Carry out other ad-hoc duties which fall within reasonable expectations of the role.

Global Accounting Network are partnered exclusively with a well-established distribution business to recruit for an experienced Credit Controller to join them on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will take on a key position within an established finance team supporting with collections and managing cashflow from clients. This is a fantastic business with ambitious growth plans who have operated for many years as experts in their field.

 This Credit Control job is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with previous experience in Credit Control looking to join an established, stable business. You will form part of a finance team consisting of around 10 and be responsible for supporting a highly experienced credit control manager in managing debtors appropriately, liaising with credit insurers, resolving overdue balances, and allocating payments. As the Credit Control Assistant, you will be offered a great environment to learn, and be able to add value to a steadily growing business.

 

Skills/experience

  • Previous credit control experience, this could be from a previous credit control role, or through credit control responsibilities in another role
  • Excellent communication skills, with an understanding of appropriate risk/reward balance
  • Team player
