Main responsibilities:

Internal controls i.e. who has what access, process refinement, finding pre-existing issues on the balance sheet and pre-empting future issues etc.
Month end close process for 10 entities
Year end reporting with consolidated stats under UK GAAP
VAT & Corporation tax returns
Reviewing work of juniors
Ongoing process improvement projects

Global Accounting Network are currently recruiting for a well-known, independently owned UK alcohol production and hospitality business.

After a period of substantial growth in the team, they are now looking to enhance process around internal controls.

As such, we are helping them to hire a Financial Accountant to strengthen processes while also looking after the internal and external reporting process for 10 entities.

Skills/experience required:

ACA qualified (or equivalent)

Qualified through an audit scheme

Confident communicator, with an ability to partner across all levels of the business

A desire to improve processes
