Main responsibilities:

  • Lead the UK and European payroll to ensure staff are paid accurately and on time and that relevant accounting entries made
  • Manage the process of creation of statutory audited accounts and other financial returns, to ensure that Met group is compliant with statutory and OFS requirements.
  • Fulfill tax and compliance requirements - such as review of UK and German VAT returns to ensure information supplied to HMRC is accurate
  • Support the Finance Director in the set up and implementation of systems to drive business efficiency and deliver value
  • Strive to implement and improve processes in line with best practise, in order to create a strong financial control environment
  • Using modelling skills to assist with budget preparation and monitor performance, so that senior stakeholders gain accurate insight

We are working with one of the largest film schools in Europe, running undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across our London, Leeds and Berlin campuses as well as a portfolio of non-accredited courses. This role is going to be to be pivotal for the finance function and is set to deliver the reports on how the business is trading. Within the position you will be looking to partner with non finance people and support the delivery of board packs to senior management. 


•Near or newly qualified Chartered Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ ACA or overseas equivalent) 

•Relevant financial reporting and broader finance experience
