Main responsibilities:

Manage and support a team of two, promoting professional development and continuous improvement.
Work closely with senior stakeholders to shape financial strategies and reporting.
Oversee key financial systems, ensuring maximum efficiency and compliance.
Lead on VAT-related matters, including preparation, submission, and advisory.
Review and manage payroll, PAYE, NI, and other statutory returns.
Prepare management accounts and year-end financial statements.
Ensure accurate monthly balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger management.
Implement and maintain robust internal controls and compliance systems.
Lead internal and external financial audits, ensuring excellent outcomes and implementing corrective actions.
Monitor debtor levels and lead discussions to ensure timely debt collection.
Oversee procurement processes to ensure value for money from suppliers.
Prepare and review monthly financial reports, including P&L variance, cash flow, and KPI reporting.

Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial systems.
