Main responsibilities:

The role will have several elements to it. The first being accounting and control.
This person will own and manage all technical accounting under IFRS and HGB.
They will be responsible for month end and year end close and work with the Big 4 auditors on more complex matters.
They will ensure tax compliance is kept up to date.
They will work with the group finance team that is not based in Germany.
The other half of the role will be commercial finance and FP&A support.
Forecasts against budget, explaining variances, looking at financial modelling for any specific M&A deals that might come up locally, with support from advisors and the local teams.
You will also be involved in localised systems upgrades, tracking credit control, due diligence support.
You will work with Group FP&A on putting together a wider budget for the German team.

We are recruiting for a services business that is a multi-national private equity backed company. The business turnover is 80 million+. The role is a Financial Controller and will be based hybrid in Frankfurt.

The role will manage a small team and be the first hire in finance in Germany. The team size will grow to about 5/6 people. The role will pay 110,000-120,000 Euros + Bonus.

Skills/experience required:

The ideal candidate has come from a larger business and has a mix of accounting, FP&A, budgeting and commercial finance skills and wants to build a team.
Fluent German and English is essential.
