Ensuring that the monthly trading balances comply with both IFRS and Trading Group accounting polices
Reconcile legal entity results for at 1-2 trading desks entities
Working with senior members of the team, ensuring the preparation of corrective journals comply with IFRS
Support the senior trading team with financial netting process and controls under IFRS
Ownership over monthly preparation of financial data, including balance sheet results at entity level, and presentation across the team.
Support new business opportunities through timely analysis, advice, and input to the Senior Trading Controller for review
Partnering with with other teams in finance, and across middle and front office, building strong relationships with the technical accounting
Projects around implementing and improving systems and processes

Global Accounting Network are currently exclusively recruiting for an energy trading business based in London.

Due to an internal move, they are now looking to hire a Financial Controller to support the wider group from trading accounting point of view.

You will be sitting in a small but high performing team who are in the office x3 days a week. There is plenty of opportunity for progression.
