Main responsibilities:

  • Prepare financial reporting statements under US GAAP, UK GAAP, IFRS, and other regional GAAPs.
  • Consolidate group financial statements, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Prepare PBC (Prepared by Client) lists and liaise with external auditors and tax consultants.
  • Deliver monthly and quarterly management packs, providing analysis and commentary.
  • Drive improvements in reporting processes, systems, and internal controls.
  • Utilise consolidation tools (NetSuite, Oracle FCCS, Mosaic, etc.) to enhance reporting efficiency.
  • Partner with finance, compliance, legal, and operational teams across multiple regions.
  • Support ad hoc projects including technical accounting, acquisitions, and regulatory submissions.

As Financial Reporting Consultant, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting across multiple entities and jurisdictions. The role is ideal for someone with proven expertise in consolidations, audit management, and complex accounting standards, who thrives in an international and collaborative environment.

Skills/experience required:

Essential:

  • Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • 5–7 years’ experience in financial reporting and consolidations.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, UK GAAP, and IFRS.
  • Demonstrable experience liaising with auditors, regulators, and tax specialists.
  • Advanced Excel and reporting system proficiency.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and deliver high-quality outputs under pressure.

Desirable:

  • Experience within energy, commodities, or trading sectors.
  • Exposure to international financial reporting.
  • Proven track record of driving process improvements.
  • Strong business partnering skills, including presenting to senior management/boards.
