Main responsibilities:

Prepare month-end accounting, statutory accounts, and management reports for both UK and consolidated businesses.
Offer insightful commentary on budget and forecast variances, guiding data-driven decisions.
Own the monthly Balance Sheet reconciliation.
Collaborate closely with the external audit team, driving successful annual audits and maintaining efficient timetables.
Preparation of the initial draft of yearly statutory accounts under IFRS.
Oversee VAT preparation and handle local tax filings.
Take the lead in enhancing processes across the broader finance team, including payroll, AP, and AR.

Qualified Chartered Accountant
Proficiency in reporting on both P&L and balance sheets, coupled with prior involvement in year-end audits (ideally under IFRS).
Experience in managing VAT and expenses, including P11Ds.
Resilience and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic startup/scale-up environment.
Additional skills in payroll, corporation tax, and process/systems improvements would be highly beneficial to your application.
