Main responsibilities:

Being a key part of the finance team, working with the internal and external auditors, leading the monthly and annual financial reporting.
Assisting with the financial statements and statutory returns.
Working on future accounting projects such as a Finance Systems Implementation.
Proving the business with technical accounting knowledge and advise on budgeting.
Writing accounting papers for senior management.
Working closely with the finance team, on reviewing and improving accounting systems and reconciliations to ensure that strong internal controls are put in place to support the finance systems.
Being proactive in risk management to ensure risks are identified and dealt with accordingly.

Skills/experience required:

Qualified Accountant (ACA or equivalent)
External audit background highly desirable
Experience in a financial accounting role, preparing statutory accounts under IFRS
Experience with IFRS 16, leasing
Natural leadership ability, with the desire to step into people management
