Karthi Gnanasegaram

We are thrilled to have Karthi Gnanasegaram hosting our event this evening Celebrating Inspirational Women and Diversity in the Workplace, working with our motivational speakers and taking part in the valuable and focused discussion.

As a sports presenter and reporter for BBC1’s Ten o’clock News, BBCRadio5Live, Match of the Day, Football Focus and BBC Breakfast, Karthi has covered some of the biggest sports events around the globe. This has included the World Cup, Olympics, Champions League,

Premier League, Wimbledon, Commonwealth Games, The Open and the Ashes. Karthi also presents sports bulletins on BBCRadio4’s Today programme, and IMG’s global Premier League TV channel. She has previously worked as a presenter for Sky News and Al Jazeera’s International News Channel when she spent two years working in the Middle East gaining international experience.

Karthi said: “As a female working in sport for over a decade, I have seen the industry change from being incredibly male-dominated to an environment that is much more accepting of females working in the business – but there is still a long way to go. I hope that I have been, and can continue to be, helpful to those that are starting out in any environment where there aren’t as many women as men. I think that our experiences and skills are certainly transferable.”
